At Academic Chem Lab (ACL), we are committed to providing high-quality research products and dependable customer service. Due to the specialized nature of our products, strict quality-control standards, and product integrity considerations, we maintain the following return and refund policy.
By placing an order through www.AcademicChemLab.com, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.
All sales of reconstitution solutions, research chemicals, laboratory preparations, and other consumable research products are considered final once shipped.
Due to the nature of these products and our inability to verify storage, handling, or product integrity after delivery, we cannot accept returns of these items for resale.
This policy applies to both opened and unopened products.
We do not accept returns or issue refunds for:
Changes of mind or accidental purchases after shipment.
Products ordered in error.
Products that are no longer needed or wanted.
Dissatisfaction based on personal preferences or intended applications.
Products that have been opened, used, altered, or improperly stored.
Products purchased for applications outside their stated intended research use.
Exceptions may be made for verified shipping errors, damaged merchandise, or confirmed product defects, as described below.
We take great care in preparing, inspecting, and packaging orders. If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect product, please contact us within 72 hours of confirmed delivery.
When reporting an issue, please provide:
Your order number.
A description of the problem.
Clear photographs of the affected products and packaging.
Photographs of the shipping box and label if shipping damage occurred.
We reserve the right to request additional information or the return of affected merchandise before approving a claim.
Once a claim has been reviewed and verified, we may offer a replacement, store credit, or refund, as appropriate.
Verified fulfillment errors or defective products will be corrected at no additional cost to the customer. This includes any return shipping required by ACL.
Please do not discard damaged products or packaging until your claim has been resolved.
Certain merchandise, including T-shirts, hoodies, mugs, stickers, and other accessories, may be produced and fulfilled by third-party print-on-demand providers.
Because these products are manufactured specifically for each order, returns and exchanges are not accepted for incorrect size selection, buyer's remorse, or personal preference.
If an item arrives damaged, misprinted, defective, or materially different from the item ordered, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photographs and your order number.
Approved claims will be resolved through a replacement or refund, as appropriate.
We are not responsible for sizing errors resulting from customer selections. Please review the available size charts before ordering.
Orders may be canceled before processing or shipment, provided the cancellation request is received and approved in time.
For retail orders:
Cancellation requests must be submitted as soon as possible.
Orders already shipped cannot be canceled.
Print-on-demand products cannot be canceled once production has begun.
Refunds for approved cancellations will be issued to the original payment method when supported, or through another agreed method.
For wholesale, bulk, or custom orders:
Production begins only after full payment has cleared.
Cancellation requests made after payment may be subject to a 25% cancellation and restocking fee.
Custom-manufactured or completed orders may not be eligible for cancellation.
ACL reserves the right to cancel an order and issue an appropriate refund when fulfillment is not possible.
In limited circumstances, ACL may authorize a discretionary return.
Such returns must receive written approval before any merchandise is shipped back.
Approved discretionary returns may be subject to a 20% restocking and disposal fee, deducted from the eligible refund.
Original shipping charges are nonrefundable unless the return results from an error by ACL.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs on discretionary returns unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Unauthorized returns may be refused and will not automatically qualify for a refund.
Once a shipment has been transferred to the shipping carrier, delivery and tracking updates are subject to the carrier's processing procedures.
Customers should notify ACL promptly if an order is missing, delayed, damaged, or marked delivered but cannot be located.
We will assist with reviewing tracking information and applicable carrier claims.
Packages marked delivered by the carrier are not automatically eligible for replacement or refund. Each case will be evaluated individually.
Orders returned due to an incorrect or incomplete shipping address supplied by the customer may incur additional shipping charges before reshipment.
Shipping fees are generally nonrefundable once a shipment has been dispatched, except where required by law or where ACL is responsible for the error.
Once a refund is approved, we will notify you of the amount and method of reimbursement.
Refunds will generally be issued through the original payment method when available. For payments made through Cash App, Zelle, or other direct payment services, refunds will be coordinated through an appropriate verified payment method.
Please allow 5–10 business days after refund issuance for processing, depending on the payment provider or financial institution.
Any applicable restocking fees or nonrefundable shipping charges will be disclosed before a discretionary refund is finalized.
Products sold by Academic Chem Lab that are designated for research use are intended exclusively for laboratory, analytical, educational, or other lawful research applications consistent with their labeling.
These products are not intended for human or veterinary administration, consumption, or therapeutic use unless expressly labeled and legally authorized for such purposes.
ACL does not accept returns based on results from unauthorized or unintended applications.
Academic Chem Lab reserves the right to review claims individually, investigate suspected misuse of the return process, and decline requests that do not meet the requirements of this policy.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws.
Any exception granted in one instance does not establish an obligation to grant similar exceptions for future purchases.
